FEBRUARY 17: Senator Lena Gonzalez to Host Press Conference Announcing Introduction of Fossil Fuel Divestment Bill to Advance California Climate Goals

Sacramento, Calif. – On February 17, 2022, Senator Lena A. Gonzalez (D-Long Beach) will host a virtual press conference announcing a new bill in her legislative package for the 2022 legislative session. Senator Gonzalez will discuss her bill on fossil fuel divestment, a bill that seizes the momentum of the worldwide divestment movement and continues the bold and progressive actions that California must take to address climate change.

WHAT: Senator Lena Gonzalez and supporting organizations, including Fossil Free California, Youth vs Apocalypse and the California Faculty Association will share about the fossil fuel divestment bill and how it will stand with communities in the face of dangerous fossil fuel pollution and fires across California.
